I just got back from Florida last night. I was a guest of the Coalition to Salute America's Heroes at the Road to Recovery Conference for wound Veterans of the War in Iraq and Afghanistan.

It was a real heart wrenching experience. My family and I spent the past 6 days in Disney world with a 150 wounded Veterans and their families. Some of these young men and women are living with horrific wounds, both physical and mental, one story is sadder than the next and yet they don't ask for your sympathy, only your compassion and your understanding of what they are going through.

The Veterans Administration like any other bureaucracy has it's faults, it's short comings and in some case neglect. The Coalition to Salute America's Heroes tries to fill the gaps and provide a safety net to keep our bravest and best from slipping through the cracks. These young men and women have given so much, it's time we all start giving back. If our government for what ever reasons can't do it, it's up to us to take the ball and run with it! These are our sons and daughters, brothers and sisters, neighbors and friends and they need our help. As my friend Dan Vargas says, "it's not a hand out, it's a hand up. These young men and women have served our nation without question, it's time we serve them!

Our wounded Veterans need our help, it's time for all of us to step up to the plate and do the right thing. There are so many ways to help. You don't have to be a rich philanthropist to help. There are countless things that you can do. Start out by visiting [link]

Busy really. We're in the process of buying our first house. I'm very excited and terrified.

As each part of the grand plan slips into place it gets more exciting and less scary. But there are still some big milestones to go yet.
